We all now know that the technology space within Financial Services moves at the speed of light.

Every few months as new language or framework appears that changes the way software is developed. Frameworks such as; jQuery, Backbone.js, ReactJS, KnockoutJS and AngularJS have all completely changed the way developers work today. JavaScript and NoSQL databases have revolutionized the methods by which some companies store and structure their data.

I can’t help but think at times that banks, software houses and hedge funds are all trying to be “fashionable” by using latest technology trends.

Are these firms correctly implementing and achieving full performance in relation to the technology available?
